There is no grammatical consistency to this post. Normally it would bother me but I'm too tired. You have been warned.

Okay so hi.

Yeah. It's been awhile.

I haven't forgotten either week. The first week back I didn't have much to say. And the second, was sort of the same. So I let it pile up and then I'd have one big update. In the future I'll probably break it up and now I'm thinking about one of the announcements I have, and I probably should have posted about that immediately but whattayagonnado so there's that.

Let it be known ladies and gents that we have reached the time of night where I neglect to use punctuation to separate sentences. But frankly, if I were telling you this in person, I wouldn't have paused to take a breath during any of that. Seriously. Ask my mom. You thought I never shut up *before* I got paid to talk in WDW? Yeah, I talk even more now.

thing number one:
I MADE IT INTO THE 2013 CANDLELIGHT CAST CHOIR!!!!

I'll be singing Soprano 2. I am very excited.

The first rehearsal that I'll be attending is this week so we'll see how it goes. Did I mention I'm very excited? Because I'm very excited.

thing number two:
I'm currently applying to four different internships within the Disney company that would run from January-June 2014. I'm kinda nervous, only in that the number of applicants is always absolutely ridiculous especially compared to the few number of spots they can actually take. My chances of getting one of these internships is fairly low, but that doesn't mean I won't try my hardest! I'm currently in the process of updating my resume, and compiling an online portfolio. The applications don't really have specifications about *WHAT* to put into said portfolio which is proving to be a bit of a struggle.  I know the *types* of writing samples they'll want, but I don't know how much of each, how many of each, how many total, etc. etc. etc. AND if ANYONE (YES THAT'S YOU) has a suggestion of a site that could host the aforementioned online portfolio, I would very much appreciate that.  As of right now I'm probably going to try and use Google Drive, but sometimes that's finicky, so if you have any advice on a different method to use, or whether or not to use Google Drive specifically, let me know!

thing number three:
COMMENTS. So THANK YOU to anyone who has ever left a comment on one of my posts! I would like to formally apologize, it's hard to respond to comments when I'm viewing them on my phone, but I intend to be on my laptop a little more regularly now, and hopefully that will make things better. Know that I have received your comments and I very much appreciate them!!!! I love knowing who is reading this blog, and especially if you're enjoying reading it!! I partially do this blog for myself so I have something to look back on, part of it is because I like updating you all (whomever you all might be), aaaand also because it gets me to regularly write which is always a good skill to practice. So don't be surprised if I go back and respond to a comment you left a month ago in the next week ;)

thing number four:
personal life info I RAN ALMOST THREE MILES YESTERDAY. The only time I stopped was *one* of the time(s) that we got 'lost'. I consider this to be a great accomplishment. To backtrack a little bit, for my work area, they've organized a "Healthy Heroes" initiative (based on the Habit Heroes venue in Innoventions; a series of three interactive games where *WE* train *YOU* to be a superhero and fight bad habit monsters! [take a guess about how many times a day I say that ;)]) So for this initiative, we've split up into 5 or 6 teams and it's kind of working like the "Biggest Loser" tv show. We send in our weights weekly (honor system) and we have weekly events! Typically the event is a "Fun Run/Walk" at various Disney resorts/hotels. It's been a LOT of fun. It's very motivational to have a group of people doing this, especially one that you see SO frequently at work anyways---it helps to keep each other on track! Or well, it has helped me anyways. I have lost a little weight so far which is very exciting to me and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER last week I ran two miles without stopping. My endurance has skyrocketed since doing this and improves each week and I love it. On one of these runs I got a bug bite that swelled up the size of my fist and OF COURSE I DIDN'T PANIC ABOUT IT WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Okay yeah I freaked out a little. Maybe a lot. But it was HUGE. Like...MASSIVE. So there's that. It's fine now. And so are my nerves. Mostly.

I'm still struggling to find a church family. I haven't always been starting late enough on Sundays for it to even be a possibility, but I have been looking for evening services, or even a bible study, if I could find it, but I'm still hunting.

It does feel weird not being at school in the fall for the first time ever??? since I was what, five????, Seeing lots of posts about textbooks, classes, and moving makes it seem like I'm in another world. AND I AM. IT'S A DISNEY WORLD. Frankly though I'm very relieved to not be back. The only thing I deeply miss and wish that I was returning for is Choir. Aside from that, I'm very okay with no homework or papers to write.

Work itself has been good; it slows down a lot down here now that school has started up for everyone for the most part. I've been told that it will pick up when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party happens, as well as Epcot's Food and Wine festival. Until then, it's pretty quiet! September in general is a great time to visit, if you're available. It's pretty empty and chill down here which is interesting to me, as all I've known until now is the chaos of the summertime!

Anywho. I feel like I'm missing something important that I've forgotten to tell you, but if that's the case, I'll just have to update more frequently ;) I never know how much of the personal side of things (e.g. non-Disney related) anyone wants to read because I can always post about that, but you'll just have to tell me what you think in the comments :D

Just keep swimming readers!
Faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Stephanie
